Carín León Signs With WME’s Global Music Co-Head Kirk M. Sommer, Eyes Worldwide Expansion

Global superstar Carín León has officially signed with Kirk M. Sommer, WME’s global co-head of music, in a major deal that covers all areas of representation. Working closely with León’s longtime manager, Jorge Juárez, the team aims to expand the artist’s business ventures and presence in markets beyond his already powerful fanbase.

“We are thrilled to join the WME team led by Kirk Sommer,” Juárez said. “Carín has enormous potential to grow in global territories. We look forward to WME guiding us across all areas of their expertise.”

A five-time GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY winner, León has become a dominant force on the touring circuit. He recently made history as the first Latin artist to perform at both Coachella and Stagecoach in the same year and is set to become the first Latin artist to play The Sphere, where he has seven shows scheduled for next year. Earlier this year, he broke attendance records at RODEOHOUSTON with more than 70,000 fans.

León also added to his accolades this month at the Latin GRAMMY Awards in Las Vegas, winning Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album for Palabra De To’s (Seca). The album is currently in contention for the 2026 GRAMMY for Best Mexican Music Album.

“Carín is a generational artist,” Sommer said. “Throughout his incredible career, he has consistently broken barriers and transcended genres. We are committed to bringing the full weight of WME behind expanding Carín’s global fanbase, and we are honored to work with both Carín and Jorge.”

Born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, León began his musical journey at age 15. His debut album, Desvelada con Banda y Mariachi (2018), quickly established him as a rising star in regional Mexican music. In 2021, his album Inédito debuted atop multiple charts and was named one of Billboard’s “25 Best Latin Albums of the Year.” Over the course of his career, León has earned numerous nominations and awards, including an ASCAP award, multiple Premios Lo Nuestro, and several GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY wins.
