Under the expanded partnership, T-Mobile will begin powering new 5G-connected broadcast tools and fan experiences at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas
LAS VEGAS.- T-Mobile is doubling down on its role in Formula 1, announcing a three-year extension as the Exclusive 5G Partner of the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX and expanding its reach as the Regional 5G Innovation Partner of Formula 1. The renewed agreement, revealed Thursday, strengthens the company’s footprint across one of the world’s most-watched sporting events and brings next-generation 5G technology to more fans than ever.
Under the expanded partnership, T-Mobile will begin powering new 5G-connected broadcast tools and fan experiences at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, starting in 2026. It marks the company’s first major technology integration at Circuit of the Americas, complementing its already deep involvement at the Las Vegas race.
T-Mobile first joined forces with F1 in 2022, using its network to support mission-critical race operations, media connectivity, and innovative broadcast enhancements. During the Las Vegas Grand Prix, the company delivered 5G-connected drones and cameras, real-time systems for ticketing and payments, and dedicated connectivity for first responders and event staff — all powered by the carrier’s advanced 5G network.

The renewed agreement ensures that the Las Vegas Grand Prix will continue to benefit from T-Mobile’s fast-growing tech ecosystem. Meanwhile, the company has already begun boosting its infrastructure in Austin. T-Mobile for Business has upgraded coverage and capacity at Circuit of the Americas, improving communications for staff, enhancing fan connectivity, and laying the groundwork for cutting-edge broadcast innovation.
Beginning in 2026, viewers around the world can expect a more immersive broadcast experience across both races. T-Mobile and Formula 1’s production teams plan to roll out advanced 5G cameras and new content-capture capabilities, providing behind-the-scenes access, dynamic race views, and enhanced storytelling during the live broadcast.
Fan experiences are also getting a boost. Club Magenta — the carrier’s popular VIP fan lounge at the Las Vegas Grand Prix — will make its Austin debut, offering T-Mobile customers exclusive access, premium vantage points, and expanded perks through Magenta Status.
With the renewed agreement, T-Mobile solidifies its place as a leading technology partner in the global racing world, using 5G to bring fans, teams and broadcasters closer to the high-speed drama of Formula 1.
